6 Days Kilimanjaro Trek Via Marangu route + 2 nights hotel stay
Tour Overview
The Marangu, also known as the Coca-Cola route, stands out as the most renowned path on Kilimanjaro presently. It serves as the primary route where short-term stays occur in cottages. This makes Marangu a favorable option for climbing during the windy season. Originating from the southeast of Mt Kilimanjaro, the course begins at Marangu Gate, conveniently close to our base at Aishi Machame Hotel. The journey there takes approximately 90 minutes. This route boasts a well-trodden trail traversing through all the ecological zones—from tropical rainforest to eternal ice—and offers captivating African vistas. Being the most popular and economical, the route can become crowded during July-September and December-March. Opting for a 6-day itinerary is strongly recommended over the 5-day option for better acclimatization.
